UOSSM has established isolation centers throughout northern Syria. The goal of these centers is to ultimately save lives by isolating cases and suspected cases of COVID-19. The centers admit patients with minor to moderate cases, providing them with the medical attention they require, while containing the coronavirus, preventing an outbreak which could be catastrophic. Patients with confirmed or suspected cases are sent to the isolation centers from primary and secondary healthcare centers through a coordinated referral network. Patients are transported via vehicles exclusive to COVID-19 patients. We hope these measures will prevent an outbreak in crowded areas in northern Syria.
