At just 11 years old, Sanaa was at a special stage in her life. Her baby teeth were falling out — a time filled with excitement, curiosity, and a little uncertainty.
That’s when she visited the newly opened dental clinic at the Gharb Al Mashtal Primary Healthcare Center in Hama, supported by UOSSM USA.
She was nervous as she walked into the center- not sure what to expect. But the dentist’s warm smile quickly put her at ease. Step by step, her dentist explained the examination, making sure Sanaa understood and felt comfortable.
During the check-up, the dentist discovered one stubborn baby tooth blocking a new tooth from growing. It needed to be removed. Sanaa was so nervous at the thought of getting a tooth pulled, but to her surprise, she felt no fear and no pain — only relief when it was over.
For Sanaa, it wasn’t just about fixing a tooth. It was about feeling safe, cared for, and supported.
For her community in Hama, it’s about having access to free, quality health and dental services.
Thanks to our supporters, Sanaa left the clinic smiling brighter than ever — and looking forward to her next check-up.
