Dental Services in Bangladesh

In 2018, over 800,000 Rohingya refugees settled in Cox's Bazar with no access to dental care. UOSSM, in collaboration with ICNA Relief, in Canada launched the first mobile dental clinic, Smiles on Wheels, in the Rohingya camps in Cox’s Bazar in Bangladesh.   An estimated 65% of Rohingya refugees have some form of oral health disease. The Mobile Dental Clinic serves the marginalized and under-serviced population of refugees in Cox's Bazar, providing free dental services.

The Mobile Dental Clinic serves women, men, and children across refugee camps. The clinic is unique for the following reasons:
