BREAKING: Deadly Attack Today in Qah Camp for the Displaced in Northern Idlib, Syria

Dallas, Texas- There was a deadly attack today in the Qah Camp for the displaced in northern Idlib, when a missile landed in the camp wreaking havoc and causing widespread fires. At approximately 8:15 p.m. Damascus time on November 20, 2019, the camp was hit with a missile causing a loud explosion. At least 12 were killed and over 20 were wounded, the majority of victims were children and women. The missile landed near the Qah Maternity and Children’s Hospital causing minor damage to the facility.

Dr. Khaula Sawah, Vice President of UOSSM USA said, “It is heartbreaking to hear what happened in Qah camp. Many people lost their lives because they were in the open in tents, including family members of our UOSSM Protection team. Our deepest condolences go out to them. This should never have happened. The international community must enforce international law and protect civilian areas. Civilians are NOT A TARGET!”
